Re: Adobe Create PDF 15 plugin is disabled in Firefox 43.0 stable version AnAcrobatUser Jan 25, 2016 11:45 AM ( in response to TanviRastogi ) I have Acrobat X Standard, up-to-date v 10.1.16 with Firefox up-to-date 43-0-4. I have just uninstalled, deleted all folders, reg keys, etc, rebooted and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat DC and still can't get the Firefox plugin to work. The files get copied to the Firefox plugins folder, but the plugin does not show up in Firefox. This has been happening since v54 and I'm now up to v57. I'm using Windows 8.1 Pro. Adobe Flash Player. Solve PDF issues by reconfiguring your browser to work with Acrobat or Reader plug-in.

Many recent browser versions include their own, native PDF plug-ins that automatically replace the Acrobat and Reader plug-in from Adobe. Installing Firefox 19 or later, for instance, can result in your Adobe plug-in being disabled and replaced. Browser plug-ins typically do not support all PDF capabilities or offer comparable features. If you experience the following problems, you may need to revert to the Adobe plug-in:

  • Parts of a PDF don’t display
  • Poor performance or image quality
  • Large files sizes when printing to PDF
  • 3D models don't render
  • Embedded SWF files don't play

Manually change your browser preferences so that it uses the Acrobat or Reader PDF viewer.
